There is enough evidence to support, I think, the use of CoQ 10 as an adjunctive supplement for treating congestive heart failure.

It may be useful for heart attack recovery, cardiomyopathy, hypertension, diabetes, strengthening the heart prior to heart surgery and decreasing the recurrence of migraine headaches.

I have received many emails asking me about store or private label nutritional supplement brands and my answer is mixed.

The real reason for private brands is so that the retailer can make a higher profit margin, but sometimes will sell the product at a lower price than the same product with a brand name. However, very often the quality and standards of production are less than the brand name. Admittedly, this too is not always.

Someone I was visiting today said to me, "Be careful leaving the driveway, it's hard to see oncoming cars."

I answered automatically that my Ford Fusion warns me of other cars behind me in either direction and it has a camera that opens in my rear view mirror as I back up. As I drove away, I hoped that I did not sound pretentious as I was not trying to be. Lots of folks have Fords.

Angiotensin-receptor blocker (ARB) therapy may cut the risk of Alzheimer's disease by reducing amyloid deposition in the brain.

"To our knowledge, this is the first human evidence to suggest that treatment with ARBs may have a selective beneficial effect on amyloid metabolism," De. Ihab Hajjar, and colleagues from University of Southern California - Los Angeles, reported.
